The Fourth of July in Tuscany

I cooked for my Italian neighbors on the fourth of July. It was fun. I slow cooked ribs in the oven, then finished them on the grill a neighbor provided. He also provided the wine for taming the flames. Yes, that's right, my neighbors make wine and use it to put out fires. It's not that we didn't drink a lot of it that night...

Ah, those Tuscans! I really enjoyed the dinner, but what was best was seeing the interactions afterwords.

Here is a little presentation I put together from my photographs taken on a summer's night, the table illuminated by a single, bare bulb. Thank goodness for image stabilization.
