Eating in the Lunigiana · Jun 7, 11:05 AM by James Martin
Three weeks and we’ll be back in the Lunigiana. Already I salivate over the food—remembering da Remo and the pork tenderloin wrapped in Lardo and roasted, or the spectacular setting of Montagna Verde, where you can get a seat on the patio and see forever. And it’s all innexpensive. I mean, according to the web site, a room at da Remo costs you a mere 40 Euros (2004 prices, but still).
Upscale is the Ristorante Gavarini in Mocrone, now with an adjacent wine shop.
And the antipasti! Just order, and then plates are marched out of the kitchen—first the cold and tepido, then warmer…ahhhhhh.
