Campari and Adult Fairy Tales With Luscious Bitterness · Nov 19, 12:01 AM by James Martin

I just bought my first bottle of Campari in the US the other day. I’ve always liked a Campari and soda before a meal in Italy. It reminds me how much the Italian palate is expanded by the acceptance of bitter as a component. We don’t do bitter here in the US, unless we’ve been left out in the cold by a friend. Then we’re plenty bitter.

I had to pay an arm and leg for it, too. Geez, if there ever was a reason to go to Italy, it’s the money you might save on Campari. If you like it that is.

Anyway, Campari has a new, limited edition calendar out. It features American actress Eva Mendes playing out some fairy tales that favor the power of women. It’s a theme that’s all the rage today. Men as puppets, women tugging the strings, a bottle of Campari between them.

Anyway, Eternally Cool has some of the pictures to show you. They’re stunning. Not quite as stunning as the price on a bottle of Campari in the US, but stunning none the less.

I have to go now. My left hand just up and knocked some books off the table. They had nice covers with hubba hubba half-nekid women on them. I wonder what happened.
