The Great Roman Bike Ride - Wandering but Faster · Aug 13, 01:29 PM by James Martin
Ok, it’s sorta cheating to go on a pilgrimage using a bicycle for transportation, but 27 riders are currently pedaling their way from Canterbury to Rome along the Via Francigena. They’re also raising money to restore Canterbury cathedral. £100,000 has been pledged so far. There’s probably still time to empty your bank accounts.
The web site is great. You can follow along via a blog and map. Today the cyclists had trouble following the maps, so they had to follow a French guy in his car. Following must be good. Everyone wants you to do it, even Karl Rove.
